What do you Really Drive??

Post by John_Lennon »

So, here is the question! What do you have in your garage?(Your real one, not your pitiful virtual garage)

Do you have a big honkin SUV?

Do you have a silly little compact crappy economy car?

Do you have a sleek Tuner?

Do you have a soccer-mom mini-van?

Do you have a beautiful fast hunk of American classic Iron?

Do you have a Mundane-Mobile? (AKA Ford Probe, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, ect.....)

I myself have a 1978 Chevy El Camino. Black with red int. With the stock 305/5.0 ltr I put out roughly around 150 whoppin horespower and have 1/4 mile time of about 20.6 seconds. I can beat almost any VW Bus or Beetle around! I really need a bigger engine....

Post pics if you can! I can't because my dumb@ass computer crashes when you attempt to upload. Will have to fix that sometime.

My beloved 1.8L '99 Ford Focus Estate.

"I like my cars like I like my women."

"What? Fast? Expensive?"

"With a massive arse."

A mighty 113bhp (haha) new (12 years go), although I have no idea what it has now. I had it up to 127mph on the (completely empty, in perfect conditions) M6 toll-road last year.

^^^^

Gotta love the Funk Wagon!

But 127 mph is pretty dang good for that car, its almost as fast as a police cruiser (They limited to 130)

Put a turbo on that baby and you will have a great sleeper car.

My car/truck is all bark and very little bite. Infact, it can just barely outrun a Toyota Prius, which is rather sad actually.

I think the conditions may have been in my favour. It was downhill, and that particular road is utterly glass-smooth, it's the most amazing surface I've ever driven on. You'll find yourself doing 100mph when it only feels like 70.

I wouldn't try it now, it was something I needed to get out of my system soon after I bought the car (plus it'd probably fall to peices if I tried it now...)

This is in my garage atm.. (older picture with the 1.2)

Swapped the engine, from a 1.2s to 2.0E (fuel injected engine from either a Opel Rekord or B manta dunno)

should have 110hp @ 780kg

It was pretty much done last year but I blew some pieces of the tranny.. (which ment I had to take out the engine tranny, and front axle once again and now it stands in pieces waiting to get done..)

This one I fucked up.

This one...

I fucked up aswell..

Aswell as I fucked up this one...

Ok ok, the last one was really rotten, used for parts only..

Always count on somebody to rain on the parade.

Synetearis, that is a very groovy little hatchback you got there! You and I should have a race since both our cars have almost no HP!You would win though, cause your car is lighter. to make up for my car;s heaviness. afterwards we will have a demo derby to to see who's is stronger! Amen Brother! Amen!

After this photo, I can't see the headlight cluster on a Celica as anything other than a face.

Sure, but pigeons (or misc flying birds on the open road) make good targets for them :)

Just pulled it out of the garage this week from being in storage a couple years. Heading to a drift event tomorrow and a trackday the next day.

Lowered-like-a-racing-car looks good, but lowered-as-far-as-physically-possible-just-for-the-hell-of-it does look a bit ridiculous. Those Golfs overstep the mark IMO.
