....convert carmageddon 1 & 2 cars to tdr2000? or is there any other programs that you can use to convert?

Indeed, 3D Studio Max R3.1 + TDR plugins is the only way to go at the moment.

The needed files can be found at the end of the TDR files section at RR2000: https://rr2000.cwaboard.co.uk/pc-files#tdr

Cracking Max 3.1 can be tricky (and sometimes it doesn't have to be cracked, beats me).
