Ah, that FBX is version 6.1. Don't suppose you could export to FBX v7.4? Flummery supports 7.4

No new features really, just a bug-fix release

v0.0.3.5

Importing multiple hierarchies and moving items between them should no longer mangle your scene

Fixed the "every other face" missing bug from triangulated blender meshes

FBX Nodes with a model but no geometry are now treated as nodes rather than models

Resetting the scene will also reset the drawn bounding boxes

Various issues with key-presses and focus have been fixed.

No new features, this is a hotfix release!

v0.3.5.1

Version numbering changed!

Minimising Flummery no longer causes it to crash

Fixed errors occuring when using the Object menu

Improvements to the Transform UI. Purely aesthetic right now

Next version,,,

,,,saves all the paperwork files necessary for your car to work ingame straight away.

...has mouse support. Thanks art0rz! (He's more active on the irc)

...automatic update checks. Thanks again art0rz!

...fixes hermits weird FBX issue.

...fixes the multiple materials issue. (Sort of raised by hex1gon and FatCat, if you call pestering me on IRC raising an issue)

...various UI improvements and tweaks.

It's the weekend so my time to work on this is severely limited. Curse you, family commitments! It'll happen in the next few days anyway.

Looking forward to the next release. I just grabbed the latest version after screwing around with .3.2 for a week. So far I can get my V8 Interceptor model to appear in the car select menu then crashes while loading a map. I'm fairly certain I know why and it's going to require me to start over again. No big deal. It's part of the learning process. If I get desperate I'll stop by irc and confess all my sins.

Visibile in menu but crash on load is usually one of three things...

No driver node.

The vehicle_setup.cfg has an ExhaustParticles attachment but you haven't created the anchor node

Your Structure.XML is not up to snuff. You need all your hierarchy (other than Driver) listed with all 4 wheels set up (front pair need steering, rotation and suspension, rear pair just rotation and suspension).

Just a quick note to state that a multiple material import bug has been fixed in the InDev branch of Flummery today and will be part of the next public rollout. Anyone struggling with multiple materials will just have to sit tight for the time being. Next release will be sometime before the next Twitch.

Indeed it does. Also, all keys are configurable and it has keyboard modifiers if you just want to do a quick rotate while you're panning. I've really got to thank art0rz for picking up the issue on Github, while I've rewritten a lot of the implementation it definitely set things going down the right path.

Yup, that's the plan. Don't set your sights too high on the tutorial video though, it's going to be a fairly basic affair just covering the bare minimum. I'll expand on it in the future as more of the fancier pieces of Flummery get developed.

v0.3.6.4

Mouse Control! Thanks art0rz for getting this ball rolling.

Check for updates. Thanks again art0rz! (can be turned off in View > Preferences > Misc)

Fixed a fairly critical error in MDL export.

Fixed numerous issues in FBX import.

On "Save as Vehicle" Flummery will generate functional copies of setup.lol, structure.xml, systemsdamage.xml and vehicle_config.cfg if they don't already exist. These are to be used as a BASE for your own configuration. UI to configure these in Flummery will be coming in version 0.3.8.0+. These files are the bare minimum to get your car ingame.

Tutorial video should happen at some point over the weekend if I get time to actually make one!

Well it's loading all of the materials for my V8 Interceptor now, but 1 of them (primary body texture) is always flipped or shifted somehow. The FBX looks fine in 3dsmax, but once I import it into Flummery the textures are slightly wacked. I'm planning on retexturing the whole thing anyway. However, I don't want to do it before figuring out why this is happening.

Also, no matter how many times I rescale the model in 3dsmax to be identical to an already existing car it always loads shrunken to about 1/3 the size. I can use Flummery's scale tool to get it almost right. Still a weird pain in the butt and I end up breaking something else.

If anyone wants a crack at the original model send me a PM. I have jury duty (LUCKY ME!) for the next month and a half so what little time I have to play around is basically nonexistent.

I think I'm importing the UVs flipped. I'll get that sorted. I've also found an issue with how I'm importing rotations. Again.

I think there will be another hotfix release today.
