Lining cars up on SOD - seduction of destruction
hi
ive got seduction of destruction- freddys banger racing conversion of carma2 - and im trying to move the cars forward when they line up at rhe start of the race so i can fit more cars on the track. (more mayhem )
ive tried changing the coordinate thingy settings in the tracks txt file but it hasnt been very succsesful with somtimes cars lining up in midair.
is there an easier way of moving the lined up cars forward ? any help greatly appreciated !

Re: Lining cars up on SOD - seduction of destruction
Easier way? No, the coordinate "thingy" setting is it, we're talking about
changing 2 maybe 3 numbers in a text file!
How are you picking the numbers to use? trial and error?
You really ought to open the map in PT2 so you know exactly what the coords should be.
If you don't want to do that, then depending on which way the map is facing, try increasing
or decreasing the first or third number by .1 (second number is up/down)
See the track making tute for more info

Re: Lining cars up on SOD - seduction of destruction
I don't know if I'd use the checkpoint coords.
I'd start with the original SOD starting point, and adjust that
XXX , 0 , XXX // Position of centre of start of grid (change where the XXX are)

Re: Lining cars up on SOD - seduction of destruction
Checkpoint coords define the 4 corners a "window" below, above, to the left and right of the road. Not much use for what you're trying to do.
The Track Making tute has a section describing what checkpoints are. You should spend a few minutes with it to get an understanding of how they work.
You're better off looking at the first entry of the opponent paths - at least those line up with the roadway. Again, the tute has a section on those as well.

So give me coffee and TV

I've seen so much, I'm going blind
And braindead virtually...
