Re: Carma2 - higher res?
that's pretty sweet.
not sure what version i'm using. how do you do it in your version? my mouse only works on a 1/4 of the screen unless I run at 640x480 before opening the exe.

Try these settings (and try using the search feature)
Re: Carma2 - higher res?
Right Click Properties on Carma2_hw.exe and change compability mode to run in 640x480 your mouse will move all around the screen then
Re: Carma2 - higher res?
Yeah, it's weird. I don't get it on my laptop (xp running at 1400x1050), but get it at anything on this pc (vista @ 1680x1050)

Re: Carma2 - higher res?
Huh. I didn't get C2 working with a higher resolution than 1280x1024, while I run my desktop with 1680x1050 too.
Coffey, how about making a Glide thread in the newbie section?

Re: Carma2 - higher res?
Anyone can start a new thread, and I am probably the least technical person around.
For example. there seems to be a lot of contradictory answers to the "mouse-in-a-box" question...is it the V2 patch that fixes it or is it just getting the right settings in the Glide configurator panel??
If someone more qualified than me wants to put a thread together, I'd welcome it!!

Re: Carma2 - higher res?
Agreed!
I'm pretty sure that is what fixes the mouse problem actually.
The V2 patch linked on C2S's site has a readme that says to use it on the UK version ONLY...even though it has worked perfectly on every version I've ever tried!?

Re: Carma2 - higher res?
Yeah, and that same read-me says something about that mouse-in-a-box thing too.
: - The mouse cursor being stuck in a box unless a resolution of 640x480 is chosen in Win95/98 before starting the game, On Rush and Banshee cards.
Edit: I actually run the exact same installation on my XP machine before without that mouse-in-the-box crap, and now this copy of that installation has that mouse shit again. The only thing different is the Glide Wrapper. I went from dgVoodoo (on Vista it gave a black screen in game mode with the hud still correct displayed over it) to Zeckensacks Glide Wrapper. So there must be something with that Zeckenshit too. I'm about to find out if (re?)installing the V2 patch has effect.
Edit 2: Problem solved.
