Been hearing gossip of a new architecture and manufacturing dimension, it seems semi-confirmed now. For all of you tech-heads out there, get ready to spend big bucks on the new CPUs both for your phones, tablets and PCs.
Samsung is at it at least since a while now. Qualcomm and all the big 'uns will buy their chips.

Been wondering since then, when will it arrive on our desktops? Seems like we won't have to wait that much, thanks to sneaky little smuggler asians.

After a bit of reading, the end of silicon-based transistor technology will be soon* upon us.

*fuck if I know when that will be, what I gathered from all this techno-gibberish is that silicon (as every other matter for that matter) has it's limits which is around 10nm. Breaking below that will require new materials and new methods. When and how will they work? How to manufacture these transistors on a large scale? No one knows yet. I'm fairly excited in a nerdy way, anyways. We're nearing the end of an era anyhow I look at it.

14 nm. Will it ever stop?
Interesting & exciting news! Maybe once we enter the new era we'll have systems that can actually run C:R at acceptable, playable frame rates. ;)

In your case, I find it highly unlikely, considering there's no pleasing you. You should see a doctor, my retarded friend, as seemingly you're developing a serious case of obsession. Get a life.Freeride Forever wrote:Interesting & exciting news! Maybe once we enter the new era we'll have systems that can actually run C:R at acceptable, playable frame rates. ;)
