I think you could push for at least 30k or even more with reincarnation hopefully around the corner xD

I actully think a pointy front looks a little too Coupedegrace like. and I prefer flat grilles, heh yay,

Nice model tho. hope it has some offroady wheels and such.

I experimented a lot with different types of wheels, sports car wheels, 1950's wheels, etc. But i think this is the perfect match.

Aww nice! A remake of the original texture? Could you try a new scheme for it maybe Cat? A black and red maybe? I thought brown was a crap colour for it, although if it's made of junk it could have multiple schemes, either way I like the wheels and the flat grille looks more conservative, but I prefer it actually, puts more emphasis on the bumper. Silhouette from the back looks spot on! One question though, will you show us how the roof animates? :) So that if we open the doors in Carma it pops backwards like in the C1 Intro.

Yeah, i took a screenshot of the fish in C2 and painted over it to give it more definition. Also, i dont know what paint scheme you mean about the red and black.

I shall animate the roof! but first I should spend a little time learning how to animate in blender, i'll do so after I'm done with texturing the model though.

What I meant by black and red was just changing the scheme from brown and yellow to black and red thats all :)

Still painting, dropped the patterned bar, made the barrels black rather than red, painty burnt tailpipe. So many scratches.

im going to be a little nasty here.

I love your work, I really do And all the time your putting into remaking a car from the original game, But Honistly Do you really have to have the same Shit Color painted over the top of it ?. I mean theres so much more you could do with the color the design it self.

I think remaking this car has proven what you can do and i belive you know it in your heart as well but DANG With the color really.

I know cars where with some type of effect on this back in the day but If your going to do with that dont you want something that looks dented and more run down instead of a prstine looking car or motor car that could look so much better if it had a little love ?.

I love the design you got is pritty much what you would expect for a car back in the day of the original c1, Maybe we will see this car return.

All im trying to say is that if you want a rust bucket then make it one and not something that could be used not only for killing lots of peds because of the rust alone and what it looks like once its painted. See if you can re-imagine the car like we have seen from stainless ?.

Anyways harsh'ness over I love what you have done and you must have spent hours & hours on it. Just Dont want to see a lovely piece of art go to waste on the color.

While I appreciate the hand painted look have you considered using photos and painting into them? Reason I say that is that if this does end up in reincarnation it would probably need to look a little more gritty and realistic rather than cartoonish ie Carma 2, but then again I have no idea what you're going for so please clarify :)

I actually have no idea what I'm doing, but at least I'm doing something! I cant recall having painted textures before, so this is all really experimental stuff.

After several days of work, here is the final and complete version of the Razorback, modernized and ready to mod into Reincarnation.

Sweet! Design wise it captures the essence of the original nicely. The current texutres and lighting make it look like a 3D acrylic painting. Reminds me of Team Fortress 2 models.

are you planning do the same with other your amzing models - i mean, share your eagle for instance. Toshiba could port it into c2

Thanks, also yes, I do plan to share most of the models I make in the future too. I already have shared the Eagle RS, it's been converted to C2 by Toshiba and is on his mods website https://rr2000.cwaboard.co.uk/carmageddon-2

Here's the thread with the Eagle RS model openable with Zmodeler since i made it to work with GTA4 originally. link

Here's the other thread with a 3D version of Doug's original concept art for carmageddon:Reincarnation's Eagle. This model is openable with Blender link

My oldest Eagle MK.3 model is really lame and kind of obsolete now, but that's the only version i haven't shared since it really isn't all that great.link

VROOM VROOM


Ported it for fun and to test out "forced shading" some more, trying to make it look less dull ingame without relying on the usual fake env maps. Made it a bit too dark but it proves the idea works well.

Very nice model, polycount is very high for an ingame asset considering the level of detail though. Could still be a fully featured addon as it breaks very nicely into components. Nothing breaks the 1000 verts/faces limit. And the texture get shrunk to 256 rather nicely. If I find motivation and free time I might port it completely :)

Hmm I wouldn't mind seeing something of your own! Otherwise I would say pick one of your favorites from C1/C2 and re-imagine that? I would like to see your take on the following: Hawk, Eagle, Stiletto, or Project X :D
