I remember the lego factory, I loved that, I never got too much lego as a kid, only when I was old enough to have an allowance,

Anyway From the distance I thought that was an eagle, Back when I was making stuff I did simple cars, Like this

Then Rig-o-mortis + Trailer from intro video,

and made it into game, Thanks to Toshiba,

Haha, reminds me of when I was young (genuinely young, being as I'm 49 now ffs) and smashing up Lego cars with my little sis before Carmagedddon, computer games or even home computers were even thought of ... the things Lego gave us. I'm pleased to say my youngest (now 11 yrs old) still, just, gets a kick from playing with Lego.

What kinda program is this? I'd try it too, I'd recreate the Towmeister I once built from Lego.

Yup Its lego digital designer downloaded from lego.com its been updated quite a bit from when it started out i think.

I loved that lego eagle was one of the funnest to watch fall apart when hit.

and was part of the inspiration for these

One of the few lego renditoins of an eagle, had one more and what I though a eagle mk5 would be like but I've lost that model (earlier install before hard drive issues)...

and the juggahnaught started out as a bigger eagle model but I saw something different especially when I couldn't find the right pieces.

more to come!

This is funny, the day that I read this topic I found my old Lego stuff back.

I created the Throb rob from Carma TDR2000, only bit lower...

And me and friends used to play "Lego Racer" tried to Carmize the shit vehicles, but could not really be done though...

@ Bloodsability: lol the blue one could be stiff shifter but id have to modify it... but the rest are correct :D

again the blue model is kind of not carma inspired but fits nicely with the scale of everything else i think ill modify that to be stiffy

@ B.A.: yea the piece limitation for lego racers was quite anoying and nothing came out correct i wish i had figured out a way to modify that limit but alas this was years ago and i dont remember where my game went.

Edit:

updated start grid with stiffy, a lil more detail on the hawk/eagle and a newcomer... Sir Lance-alot, and his car Hack-n-slash [color change may be necessary for car what do you think guys and gals?]

The Plow Mk.2

Eagle Mk.3

Two things I made, you can see how to build them here:

Eagle MK.3

The Plow Mk.2

Haha, so i did them when i was well, kind of bored, but i had an inspiration. I have some pics of them here.

Tell me what you think of them, I spent an Hour and a half on The Plow.

If you know anyone who could put the models into Carma 2, you could perhaps inform them to E-Mail me on

Hello there, I made two models in LDD.

*Eagle Mk.3

*The Plow Mk.2

I have 2 videos on how to build them:

The Plow Mk.2

Yah, I was a little bored while making them, but I had an inspiration. The Plow took me about an hour and a half... but, anyways, here are the pictures:

BTW: If you know anyone who would be interested in converting these into C2, please tell them to email me on

.

Tell me what you think.

If you guys really want to build some Virtual LEGO Carma cars stop screwing around with LDD and download MLCAD. You can use any part every created and make them any color you like even if that part never came in that color.

If I can find the time I will try my hand at some real LEGO Carma cars.

Keep it going ZalD. From my experiences more limits = more creativity, no need for mlcad.

To each his own, I just offered up an alternative to LDD. Some people actually find it more difficult to use. MLCad offers more options for creating, and not just with the expanded parts list. It will also let you create building instructions if you wanted to share with others. You can also use different building techniques which LDD can't replicate.

Back in 1998 inspired by Carmageddon 2 I converted all my LEGO to cars and began to crush'em to each other (my little brother helped me a lot in crushing part). That was fun. The main idea was to make a car containing a lot of small pieces in order to make realistic damage on collisions. I decided to make my own cars but not official ones (partially because I had small number of bricks in my collection). I made 7-9 cars back then.

Recently I rebuilt my collection. I built 11 cars using nearly all my bricks. Also I had an idea to built a dump truck sometime later, so I bought an epic LEGO set called Skull Truck:

It has really big wheels compared to minifigures (81.6 mm in diameter, while the height of minifigure is 40 mm). But now when I built it I don't really know if I want to demount it in order to build something else. Because it's awesome and can eat pedestrians.

A few photos where made, I'll try to make more ASAP:

You can see a Checkpoint and poorly protected grandstand+pit x))

Also I made a model and a render of one of my cars using LDD, POV-Ray, LDD to POV-Ray and Photoshop:

big version: http://i068.radikal.ru/1212/42/de06a96bb497.png

Celestial Sledge - 145 bricks. The most tough car in the line.

EDIT:

made another view:

I need to get back into my LDD. messed around for 5 mins and came up with an almost exact replica of a vehicle I made years ago.

It still exists, but it's packed away with my other Lego.

I will post more when I get the time.

Dude seriusly how long did rendering take? mabye its my bad PC but this small tiney picture took about 8 hours,

allso your double kill thing was such a weird and unusual veichle with that Huge overhang over the wheels, that I couldent help quickly patching something togeather... tho I forgot the spare wheel aparently.

EDIT: Picture changed and updated now all those things I forgot are now on. the mirrors. and exhausts, spare tire, and those kinda details.

Canni autos presents

Tho with how it looks I think it needs a more justified name than doublekill something that would make Mr Econo proud.. like

The Canni Balcrosta!

wow! That doublekill model is awesome!

I know the name is stupid, I'm trying to relate names with LEGO somehow, but in this case I was too lazy to think about name x))

About render:

3400x2200 px doublekill pic take ~20-40 minutes to render. I don't know exact time, I'll try to find out it later.

My config include 4-cores Phenom II 955, running now on 3400 MHZ. I believe I'm running 64 bit versions of LDD to POV converter and POV-Ray.

I was surprised this POV-Ray used 100% of all my cores while rendering. I never seem this before. Even when I was packing my Win-RAR archives it was ~20-25% per core x)) Whell, I'm not really into multy-thread stuff so I may mistake. I just watched the "Windows Task Manager" thing for this.

Screenshots of my main config in LDD to POV-Ray coverter:

All I know: antialiasing take a lot off time. And maximum "Quality" in "Rendering" tab also take a lot of time. The "Celestial Sledge" took 3-6 hours to render when using only max "Quality" without antialiasing (sorry can't remember exact time and I aborted that long render). Compared to my current parameters that was insane amount of time and visually the quality wasn't much better. It seems it was just brighter.

p.s.: My benchmark results for POV-Ray 3.7 are: "Elapsed time 316.93 seconds" when I runed it while my Phenom was on 3500 MHZ.

------------------------

Next car - "Piecemaker", 129 bricks + 4 minifigures. It's cops! The real model have rear suspension, but this piece is not present in the lego editor, so I replaced it with a bunch of other small pieces.
