dgVoodoo 2.0

Post by Toshiba-3 »

Unexpected.
Apparently updated for Windows Vista/7/8 + DirectX 11 and shader 4/5 gfx cards.

http://dege.fw.hu

Code: Select all

2.01: - Undrawn polygons when updating TMU memory, fixed
        - Potentially bad drawing of strip-primitives in Glide3, fixed
        - Malfunctioning LFB lock with 32bit formats when PCI emulation is
          enabled, fixed
        - Fullscreen/Windowed state was not always remembered between
          Glide-initializings, fixed

2.0:	The original version
Haven't tested it yet, no free time at all.
Don't hesitate to share your thoughts.

Tested it a bit, gives very choppy performance with C2 here although the previous version ran just fine.
Had tested it with Half-Life alpha and it worked well.

Would be great if some of you could test it as well just to report performance.
I could report it all to dege then.

I've only tested on C2, and yes, the performance isn't very good. The visuals seemed fine, though, no problems there.

Well actually the readme says it all!
dgVoodoo 2 is a more precise Glide emulation, and thus require much more horsepower. It seems to run okayish in 640*480  Once again I also notice a big performance difference when the hud is turned on and off. Being a DX11 glide wrapper, ENB mod doesn't work. Windowed mode has improved over the 1.50beta version. I guess this v2 would be fine for a vanilla C2 running in native resolution and windowed. But who does that?!
