Sketches...
I have seen quite a few posted on here over the years. But, never bothered to post any of my own. Most of these are not even vehicle related but, I would like to share these few with you all & maybe get your opinions of them. So, let's get started. The first is my very first attempt at any kind of robot. I think it's pretty cutesy. But, not too much...

Re: Sketches...
The next was a character played by my ex in a tabletop RPG that I ran. She was a viscious Elven Warrioress that was quite cold in her endeavors...

This is the only vehicle related one I have scanned at the moment. It's a custom Motorcycle, of course.

Re: Sketches...
This was supposed to be a HUGE robotic combat vehicle ala "Robotech". It's full name was something like Draconus Imperius or, something like that...

Re: Sketches...
Cool sketches man, the first one looks like some kind of robotic ant or something very cool stuff.

Re: Sketches...
Very skilled sketches, especially those proportions are well-made! When i try to draw human beings or animals, they always look like monsters though they aren't supposed to be so...
I stick to vehicles then and leave those robots, fantasy characters and monsters to people who are good in drawing them, like you Junkpile
P.S.: I like your new signature pic, AdR

Hey! Nice Camaro, MCF. You draw a lot like I do.
I prefer black ink, tho.

Re: Sketches...
why dont you model this into c2? this car rocks ass!
Surprise! Look what i started one or two months ago!
But before getting to enthusiastic about it, keep in mind that I'm very busy these days, i often use this as an excuse of lazyness, sure, but actual it really is the truth. the movie contest and mainly school keep me from continueing this model, but as i got holidays right now, i hope to catch some time to finish most of the body though.
Anywayz, any first comments are welcome.

Re: Sketches...
Oh, and for the sake of it, another one
I like the fantasy models here from Junkpile, butyou should add some shading (shadows).
Shading is making it much more realistic

Re: Sketches...
Your shading work is excellent Savage! I was never quite able to get a handle on the shading aspect of the art world. That's why I consider myself nothing more than a designer instead of an artist. LOL
Seriously... When I attempt shading, I screw up my veautiful work. So, I don't even attempt it any more. I have ruined quite a few awesome pieces that way...

Re: Sketches...
Why not just try it with the digital images ? Then you can't screw up anything.
You need to choose a light-source. Another good rule is that you shouldn't think in lines but in area's.
Don't get me wrong. I like your pictures, they have much more creativity and fantasy in it than my realistic pics.

Re: Sketches...
or make a copy and apply the shading on the copy, so you can try it out and then perfect on the original
