Took awhile to come up with the bread for a new ragtop but damn it was worth the wait..

Now if I could only find a 3.1L V6.....

Very nice, it is much better than what I drive, my parent's Mazda 626 2.0 Litre Turbo Diesel.

1982 Ford Escort Mk3 1.3 L (restoration project)
1990 Nissan Micra K10 L (my first car, currently in long term storage)
1995 Ford Escort Mk6 1.3 CL (current everyday car)

NAh, Feel free Econo.. I got way too much goin' on what with the weather gettin' better and all.

Gotta finish restoring the Dodge minivan from heck...Lee Iacocca's legacy, as it were..

Then I'm prolly gonna trade ma pickup for a goodly sized motorhuckle to play with...That'll prolly need some work...I can post pics of the correct angles of ma car if yer interested, tho. I'd like to see it and you make some kickass low poly cars!

don't get me wrong or anything, I don't mean to label anyone redneck or hick or whatever, but for some reason that's not the car I expected on you DB...

I'm not sure how I can form a picture of someone by means of internet, but I guess that's also the way I got fucked over when I almost wasted five or more years of great relationship for a woman I met online - which tunred out to be a 60 year old Canadian hag.

Anyway, an old Christine-like buick-ish car is what I expected...

Aw, now that's just one big yummy car!

Actually, now that I think some more about it DB, you struck me as one of those auto-nuts (you still do really) and I kinda just assumed you'd be driving a "showy" classic that makes other auto-nuts go "Dude, is that a '57?"

Do I even remotely make any sense?

Cool car anyhoo.

I dunno. My highschool teach was convinced that you could reach upto 200 km per hour in free fall.

Ofcourse, that'd just be you moving. Your legs could indeed still be floppin' desperately for grip at a whopping 7mph...

Heh. 'K...Two things:

A.) I've found my 3.1L V6 I was looking for for the 'bird-as well as the beefier transmission, exhaust, ECM, ECM harness, ignition coil packs, ignition harness, fuel lines, all the motor mounts (including that 180.00 hydraulic bastid lower left mount, struts, subframe, etc. Fo' cheap! Heeheeheehahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa........ I'm gonna be swappin' dat sucker soon! Bye, bye 2.0L leaky head-gasketed four banger!!

Oof. Ogg cut metal with fire....heheh... Now I just gotta figure out if I should try to shoehorn the whole front end of the donor car into the back of my truck or mebbe I should just tow the front subframe home with alla that crap hangin' offa it.

Eddie:

Not a '57, a '46....Ford, that is... That pic is a year and a half old. More mods have been done to it since then-like f'rinstance the flames were finished and a blown 455 Buick motor dropped in it.

I've been a gearhead all my life. I was one of those goons that hung out in auto shop anytime there was nothing better to do in school-which was most of my time there.

Nice autos. Im starting to appreciate older cars lately.. 40s/50s big round saloons or streamliners with about 500 pounds of chrome, though I just dont like the shiney flame paint jobs and hot rod stuff.. best keep em unrestored. Or, actually, keep everything on the inside running smoothly if ya wish.. but the outside must be a natural.. the way nature intended

I'm just fixing it mechanically! Outside will remain just as you see it (except the stuff thats falling off, might have to fix that as well as the wipers, lights, etc to pass inspection) !!! It's been sitting longer than I've been alive!

Hell dude, you coulda told me that thing was gonna be built tomorrow. I'm like an anti-gearhead. I can't even patch my tire on my bicycle.

Not that I have anything against gearheads, I mean, I'll need them when I get famous, buy a license and get a really customisable classic.

You know, in about a month here I have gather more cool-car-pix than in an entire three year section before...

11? That was...like...6 years ago wasn't it? Mebbe 7 by now?

C'mon. I dinna fall offa the truck just yesterday.

Blargmeister:

That Ford up yonder started out as a welding experiment-I learned how to weld by putting a new floor in it.

It originally had a raspy, wheezy ol' inline 6 in it-with Babbitt mains (poured in place! Yummy.)

That lasted for about 7 months while I drove it around during the restoration process..then I came across this wrecked Buick LeSabre and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to big-block the '46.

I drag 'er out on nice summer days sometimes to let 'er stretch 'er legs on the way to a show.

Shit, if I had to take a car out to a show it'd be that one yeah. I hop esomeday to be able to become safe enough to drive and get a rally cool car. Or at least one that matches me instead of matching everything else out there.

I'd maybe go for a Yugo or a Suzuki with chrome hubs and flames on the side. To annoy the piss out of those street racers.

On the other hand, if I can get my hands on some classic American Steel...

Nice arse, by the way.

Anyone else ever notice that some cars just have a nice arse? Like you wanna pull some lace over it and pose it out for Victoria's Secret Garage... ...I may have stumbled onto a goldmine here...
