Sounds like a game of the year title if you ask me.
Seriously though that ign article came out before SCi's trade report which clearly stated PS2 and Xbox. If it doesn't say PC chances are it's not gonna happen. You have to read between the lines and pay attention to what they're not saying to fully understand corporate bullshit.

Actually. I'd buy it out of the bargain-bin, just to go and see where I'd actually have to drive my car this time...
How about this title?
"CARMAGEDDON FOUR: Buy it!"
And then as a subtitle: "Didn't that car in the parking lot look familiar?"

Now let's hope the PC version will be more than a port of the console version(s).......

This particular subject seems to be the only one DodgyG finds to be worth discussing of... :P
Re: NEW CARMA INFO:
This switching to consoles is apparently happening alot lately. Interplay canned Fallout 3, which was in progress, and made af console game instead. It got bit, chewed and spit out. Its trash. They f***ed the fans and now no one buys the game. Hopefully SCi wont make the same mistake, but theire heading in the same direction so far...

Re: NEW CARMA INFO:
Still, now that the PC version is confirmed (I don't know why we did doubt it in the first place, seemed only logical) all there's left to do is sit and wait and post lotsa topics about what we want in the game and hope one of those SCi fellers secretly hangs around here.
Calling himself AdR, or Deep Blue, or something along those lines.

Re: NEW CARMA INFO:
I don't know, I'm feeling skeptical. My big question is: "Why didn't Stainless get the job of developing this game?" Something must be very wrong here, if Stainless developed it then the chances of it actually being good would be much much higher. I just don't get it.
Anyway, I guess I won't really know anything until I see it for myself. Hell, it might be decent. I just hope there is a really good physics engine and the ability for LOTS of customization.

Re: NEW CARMA INFO:
Maybe hiring Visual Sciences was a few dollars cheaper than Stainless? SCi is really scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one.

Re: NEW CARMA INFO:
Maybe stainless got offered, but refused?
Maybe SCi didn't bother, because of the previous problems encountered with them.
Who cares? :P

Re: NEW CARMA INFO:
It's not like SCi really have a good track record anyway. All this talk of "killing the brand", they already did that with TDR2k. If you're perfectly honest the series can only get better, because after the dire, dire mess of the last one you'd really need to *try* to make a crappier game.
SCi don't give a rats arse for the community, they don't give a rats arse about the fans (not the same thing), they only give a rats arse about money.

Re: NEW CARMA INFO:
If they actually did it right, I'm pretty sure they'd make more money w/ the franchise.
They're cheap, is what!
Good news is Visual Sciences has made very realistic(physics-wise) F1 simulators ,so if we get lucky, that part may turn out o.k. Torus had zero experience w/ making a realistic physics engine before TDR(which probably explains why they just grabbed and upgraded the C2 engine).

Re: NEW CARMA INFO:
Of course they won't - that's how the game industry works nowadays
"Patch" has become an 'every day' term with gaming... When you buy a game, (especially if it's a couple of weeks out), you check the site for patches...
Stuff they didn't have time to fix/put in, that they are now it's out
:/

Re: NEW CARMA INFO:
Well, they really pushed it though....having no time to iron bugs out(even major ones) is one thing, but in the case of C2, they had to seriously cut the features list and the game's content to meet the deadline. Having to wait a month or 2 to get a stable game is one thing....getting stuff w/ only half the objects/artwork and half-implemented functions is another.
Yeah, everybody does it....it's just a question of proportions.
