What's up everyone?

It's been so long since I been around here... I'm surprised to see the CWA is still rolling strong!

Man... memories galore... I was cleaning up around my computer and found my copy of Carmageddon 2 and was wondering if there were still people doing this... amazing... who would have thought that back in 1997-98 when CoffeyCup and I started the CWA that it would still be around like 6 years later...

I even found an old copy of BLOOD on the HIGHWAY on one of my old back up CD's...

Gareth-don't bother with tose as the 'dozer's track wer non-functioning anyways-I'm slowly redoing the lil' dozer (providing I can figure out working treads) and the Enterprise is in for an overhaul as well.

The "Wheelie Chair" is prolly one of the first ones I'm redoing that's gonna be released.

I've also got a skull rod along the lines of "Spike" that I'm redoing, too-

I jes' LUUUUUV novelty vehicles.

Somehow it doesn't feel like that much time passed by.

Blood on the Highway seemed to have mostly DB's vehicles, DB's -more or less- secret stash? And every of them just as uncommon addon cars as you would expect from Deep Blue. When others make sports cars and common everyday cars, DB makes something like a Harley, Bulldozer, Refridgerator-on-wheels, gigantic monster-truck-wheeled-truck, and what else there is.

If you hear that DB's making a vehicle, you will have hard time guessing what kind of vehicle it is IMO!

I dunno-I like muscle cars and some sports cars, but jeez...all ya see mostly is remakes of the same things over and over again. I mean-how many times can ya remake a '69 Camaro?

I like makin' stuff that's unique. And weird sometimes.

Carma can sure use some more original creations i agree, Im sorta weary on the whole 'shitbox thing.

Now im wanting spinning saw blades, spikes.. sharp objects.. sick twisted things like that! Things you wouldnt want to come across in the street in the real world. More stuff that actually fits into the game!

EXEPT on occasion, I NEVER download any of the 'normal' cars that are around. In my view, Carmageddon 2 isn't supposed to be for showing off fancy cars; it's for METAL MASHING MAYHEM!! Armageddon with cars!

I think people have forgotten that it's a game of destruction, and CAR-nage!

I'm STILL waiting for the guy to start modelling the Thundertank! Now THAT'S what I call FUN!!

Actually, I like common cars...it fits into the "complete disruption of normalcy" trip that C2 fosters so well. Of course, a few Mad Max-styled vehicles help fueling the madness too.

Auto: too bad, I hoped you'd do more econoboxes, they're so nice(esp. the volvo!)

I just like customizing. Everybody nowadays makes FnF-alikes or Blingmobiles.

Y'all know (Ya older folks 'specially) that there WAS life before Puff Daddy (or P.Diddy or Pus Dingleberry or whatdafuckever he calls hisself nowadays until he gits hisself shot somewheres.). And people drove some righteous lookin' cars back then, too.

Who here remembers lowering just the ass-end of a car? Or jackin' it up? Or Lake pipes? Appleton spots? Fender skirts? Chopped tops? Flamethrowers? Highboys? Leadsleds? Kustoms? Low Riders? (the really wild Mexican or Puerto Rican ones with hydros-NOT mom's Honda with bricks in the trunk.

OK, I'm dated but DAMN-after seein' what TIMMY! did to my Knight...."THAT stuff doesn't work on everything dammit!".



I like the fact that I can make a refrigerator fly (and win a race!) or anything else I can dream up for this game. Carmageddon will never die as long as people are creative and innovatively thinking.

Otherwise we might's well all be in a GTA or NFS community somewheres where the same Honda gets redone and redone over and over again and everybody gets in bitch slap fights over somebodys "MaD tYtE" ride.

I saw flamwthrowers on a car once, mounted under the car on the sides. They were used as protection.. if anyone tried to brake in. Pretty cool actually.

For all ya younger guys that don't know what a flamethrower is:

Back when cars had real engines in 'em that din't have alla the emissions controls that kept the mixture all nice and lean-we'd install a set of straight, long, chrome exhaust tips and run a spark plug wire or two on a DPDT switch spliced into no. 1 and 3 plug wires and drill holes on top of the exhaust tips near the ends and install 2 extra spark plugs in these holes.

The idea being if ya really wanted somebody to check out yer righteous ass-draggin' sled-ya'd coast a bit and shut the ignition off and leave the car to wind down in gear while ya pumped the throttle a couple times. Then at the right moment-ya'd give it one good pump and turn the ignition back on and hit that switch which would put those two spark plugs into the circuit and ignite alla that fuel-rich vapor that yer exhaust system was now full of causing thirty-foot blue flames to jet from those chrome tips-scaring the bejesus out of everybody within sight of yer car.

I had the misfortune of "flaming" a cop once. Not pretty...
