Pontiac Luxury

Post by JN_Parisienne »

Hey! JN again... Anyone else here like big 80s cars? Especially the GM b-bodies? If you do, check out my '85 Parisienne. I mentioned it before, but I updated my Car Domain account, and figured maybe some of you car guys over here would be interested. The recent progress is summed up on the page, so here's the link.

Who else here's got a nifty car? Wasn't someone trying to sell a Challenger on here a while ago?

Hello! That thing's bitchin! I had a 59 Chevy Bel Air and I wanted to put cragars like those on it! I used to work with a guy who had a similar Parisienne, it was a two door 79 I think and yellow. He was funny, every day on his lunch break he'd go and have about 4 beers down at the corner bar and come back to work a bit tipsy! Anyways that's a fine looking car you have! The dual exhaust is way cool as are the skirts! What are your future plans for it? I'd say a hood scoop (nonfunctional is best) like this would be killer:

Good luck with this slammin ride! :supermad:

yes i love orig gone in 60 seconds.. its probably more entertaining to watch then junkman. not that i find that movie all that entertaining either. but they were made in the 70s.. and i guess its not really easy to make an "interesting" or "good" movie when all youre really making the movie for is to smash cars up.. but since the subject of car smashing is one of my all time favorites i can live with that!

Thanks guys. As for future plans, I don't know about the hood scoop lol I'm going for a stock sleeper look. All except the Cragars  Future plans include that K&N, some new valve covers, new air cleaner, intake manifold, new Holley Carb, those headers I bought and a set of Cherry Bomb mufflers. All that basic stuff. But that's far in the future, I've gotta save up for a while for all that. I've got a 1981 GMC Serria, the body's shot, and it's only got an inline six, but it's got a great, low mile 350 turbo hydromatic tranny in it. Might make that swap one of these days. An by the way Alan, thanks for the comments about the skirts! Most people hate them for some reason, but I love them. Make the car look unique and classy.

Hello! Sounds like it'll be a bitchin' car! Those things have a great ride to them, my folks had a similar buick, same basic car. As for fender skirts I think they look cool, I've got a set on my 56 Bug! They definately add a classy look to it a car! Every car should have them? Have a nice evening! :supermad:

yah, it's a funky orange/brown/reddish color, nice n' ugly! i ripped most of the already torn interior fabric out and replaced it with leapord skin fabric! pimp deluxe...i think a small ford courier 4x4 frame would fit the body without too much bastardization.

i got a 67 chrysler newport with a 440 and a 1980 dodge mirada i bought last fall, i really should take some newer pics...(you can see a tiny shot of the chrysler in the avatar there) anyway, the chrysler is a 4dr hardtop originally a 383 that was long gone before my dad and I got it, now sports a rebuilt 440 with slightly hotter cam and a holley 670 street avenger carb(really needs a 770)..the dodge I own for now sports the 225 leaning tower of power! about 110hp of awesomeness, although it runs well and smooth i'm planning on building a mild 383 big block for it this summer...my goal is to rebuild the bottom end stock, a 252*/260* .489/.501 cam, edelbrock RPM intake, eddy 750 carb (nice and cheap), give the heads the once over (no $$$ for porting) 1 7/8 hedmann headers (the rust-in-3-months $99 kind:) and a 2500 stall converter...all this won't happen at once but i'll have the intake and carb right away at least.. i need to change the rear-end too 'cause the original 7 1/4 ain't gonna live behind a tourqey 383. In fact i'm buying a couple of rear tires for it tomorrow, hopefully 265/60's will fit, if not 255's at least.

Is it even possible to put a 351 in a escort? It's might unblance the whole car if it does :P

Well I guess It's not like trying to fit a 460 in there or some other riduculusly big and heavy engine in a lighter car

lol - it's find a 351 boss motor without the rest on the mustang that im finding hard. i could storke a 302 up to a 351 - but why stop there - you can stroke a 302 up to 400CI - might have to make the bonnet bigger - but i was going to do that anyway - i was think more of the power to weight ratio and so when my friends get there lil rice burnner's i can smoke 'em WITHOUT nos

it's like the message when you buy a Hemi Road Runner "...this car is intended for use in supervised acceleration trails and is not intended for highway or general passenger car use."

SUPERVISED - HA lol but it does have a 420 - but i think it will be heavyer then An escort
