hmmm...never saw the movie and that pic doesn't show a whole lot. I'm starting to think it's a Barracuda or Oldsmobile.

Re: vanilla sky car?
Nope, that's a '68 or early '69 Chevy Chevelle. Before they went to the vertical marker lights but after they went from the pointy rear side window shape to the squarer one. Prolly late '68-early '69.

Re: vanilla sky car?
I thought it was a Chevelle at first because of the longer trunk, but the window shape just doesn't look right at all. Never seen one so boxy.
Re: vanilla sky car?
Yeah, the car shape was basically the same from '67 to '72, but they changed the swoopy rear quarter window to a boxier one in late '69 as well as moving the emblems off the parking lights and turning them vertical.
Later models had the parking lights in front incorporated into the front turn signals and i believe the rear ones were buried in the back bumper.
After '72 the rear quarter window looked more like the ones on a Dodge Dart where the roofline just came down on an angle and then they changed it to a huge-ass opera window built into the roof. (See the '74 Chevelle-mucho different). More toward the Chevelle Malibu style which I think eventually turned into the "Malibu" and then I think the Caprice

Re: vanilla sky car?
The picture does kinda suck. Without a view from the front and rear it could be anything. I'm gonna take DB's word for it and go with the Chevelle.

Re: vanilla sky car?
It's a 70 or 71 buick skylark like hellspawn said, and adr's GSX is basically the same thing so just make a blue skin with out the stripes on it... how could you think it was a chevelle anyway? it looks more like an impala than one of those...the swept up back rear window is one of the more distinctive features on a chevelle...and clearly that car doesn't have 'em
Re: vanilla sky car?
sorry about the pic.. i just used my digital camera on the computer screen.. using 'print screen' with DVD player just doesnt seem to work.. i just get blackness
Re: vanilla sky car?
here are a few more.. there arent any shots of the back of the car.. I dont think is a chevelle either judging by the grill.

Re: vanilla sky car?
Now that's definitely a Skylark. The front bumper and headlight design makes it pretty obvious. The only thing it's missing is the "Buick" across the hood.

Re: vanilla sky car?
That Skylark is a ballsack. The Bullit-style 68 Mustang 289 Fastback is the real shit. Or is it a 289? I didn't think they came out with a 302 until 69 or 70, and a kid at my school as a 67 289 (with the crapass auto transmissio) and it sounds just like the Bullit car, only the engine is at a consistent 3000RPM "RUGAGUGAGUGA" under acceleration thanks to the slushbox.
