... and made my own game! Plus, since I was in the mood for drawing vehicles, it is a racing game!
Still in early development, though. Still need to add collision system.
Version 0.1(desktop, no touch screen controls):
https://liluo.io/games/4e640921-fc94-4c ... ffb7d17551
What to do, (maybe) in order:
- General tweaking, etc.
= Smooth out teleporting for lapping and speed limit on vehicles.
- Replace images for the FC6 and Overhaul; resized.
- Finish making and adding new opponents.
- Give special abilities to each vehicles, such as the jumping that Thrasher has.
- Draw new terrain tiles and other graphics.
- Make more levels.
- Improve UI and menus.
= Add touch screen controls.
- Implement a collision system.
- Find and add sounds and music.
- Add a points system based on final position and/or collisions, depending on mode.
-=Use points to unlock opponent vehicles and more tracks.
- More game modes(battle, race, team, story, etc.);
-=Weapons for some modes.
-=Mode-specific vehicles.
Let me know what you think and any suggestions/constructive criticism.

Re: I finally did it...
Looks good so far...
Don't like the controls however, I would have prefer up & down to drive and left & right to tilt.

Reminds me of old Flash games from the early-mid 2000s, nice work.

Re: I finally did it...
What I find most interesting is the side view, which is unusual for a racing game. Really makes you think of what the gameplay could really become, esp. in regard to platforming.
I don't think collisions between cars or with moveable objects like the crates is important, I'd rather imagine an action key you'd press when you're close or next to an opponent and your car would ram into it. Ram into crates as you drive by them and your followers will run into them proper.
Jumping and other actions could lead to different paths.
You could even imagine not being able to control the speed of the car, it'd accelerate on its own anyway and you'd have to time those actions? Sounds like a mobile game à la Flappybird.
just thinking out loud

Re: I finally did it...
I added collisions!
Oh, Tosh! I was just doing that!
Added being able to push other vehicles and show the angle they spun to. Also removed the crates, got annoying. Maybe have certain ones only affect the player and others the opponents?
I went with the side view as I though the vehicles would look better than a top view. Also, wouldn't be cool if a person could make their own vehicles from a side view picture? Depends how difficult that would be to implement, though.
Now, I just need to add an attack combo system, vehicle damage system and a points system that's based on attacks and final position.
Will update it later after polishing it up.
Update: Added showing what angle the opponent was sent to and have a few combos.
More: Completed(at least, for now) the collision system. Can now also damage and destroy vehicles, even have the opponents hit back. Thinking of adding the ability to change what 'z-order' you are at(what order the images appear at, affecting overlapping) as a way of doing lane changing. Would also help choose who to hit when next to a group.
This is post number 1234.
Hello? Is this thing on?

Re: R.A.W. : Race And Wreck : 0.43
Version 0.43 is now out!
https://liluo.io/instant-builds/69e27ac ... 2189293453
Collisions are now in!
+When beside a vehicle, you can hit them for damage and to push them.
- + Pushing can show the angle they went to and even a combo!
- + Each vehicle can side-hit at a different rate.
+Change between 4 'lanes', like layers.
- + There is a slight delay between when you land & lane changing, as the same keys are shared.
- + Each vehicle will change lanes at different speeds.
+Hit opponents from the back/front/etc. instead. Even drive over them!
- + Or avoid those pesky boxes; lane it is in shown by shade; dark at the back.
+Race or wreck to win - or lose!
Still to be done:
-The combo system still needs more work. Definitely needs to be better.
-Add more to the damage system, like differentiating who receives the most damage
based on speed difference and more.
-Points for damage and combos. Some modes could be based on points to win.
-Work on custom graphics for levels. Already have the opponents done, just need to add.
-Previously mentioned stuff from 0.1 release.
