Godzilla just cummed all over that truck

The wheels are great...

There is one thing about the suspension you made there for the truck... you see it is very old school type of suspension....

very old school ... these days a penumatic suspension is used most of the times for trucks of category you've made... leaf-spring is still used on smaller trucks, or vans etc. off course...

Pneumatic tho It lets you regulate suspension depending on how heavy load the truck carry etc... and since you use very futuristic design of the chase .... I would, perhaps too late, like to point that out to you...

CR example of pneumatic/air suspension is on PLOW

Lol, leaf springs are old school but maybe not that old school as in your picture. :D

FatCat's truck is modelled (to some extent) after racing trucks and leafs springs are still used (and enforced by regulations) in truck racing so the suspension is in that sense correct. I'm interested to see if it is possible to make leaf springs work in the game. :)

Yup, it's fairly easy to make leaf springs. You basically set it up as liveaxle suspension, split the leaf spring in half, use Set_PostIK_SnapPointToPointOnOtherPart to position each half on the chassis and Set_PostIK_RotatePointToPointOnOtherPartWithScaling to have the bottom of each half move with the axle. It's not that much different from how you set up regular shock absorbers in the game.

AHA I didn't know that racing trucks use leaf-springs =D

Oldschool... well it started there... altho, of all the pictures I just had to use horsecarage just for irony of it =D

I'll be real honest, i had NO idea what's under trucks, or behind their bumpers, so i totally guessed based on pictures of truck accidents and overturning.

E.G: this

It needs an engine so bad.

I am so sorry for stalling a little as of lately, but it's not all lost time, i now have a new WD 1TB 6.0GB/s hard drive on delivery to replace the 7 year old 3.0GB/s 500GB that makes scratchy noise if you leave it on for too long... It's where i store all my data! It's also the one of the only part i salvaged from my old computer, it really needed to be replaced :P

It's possible to make leaf springs work, but theres no systems that work them into the physics, so they have to be 'faked'.

New HDD acquired! Woo! 1tb of new space! And it's replacing the old slow HDD from my old computer! Now the only part left that was salvaged from my old computer is this OLD KEYBOARD, it's cracked a little on one spot, the bottom is all scratched, and one of the screw somehow got rusty (i have no idea how, but 7 years is a long time for a keyboard too)

Time for a NEW keyboard, oh yeah, i'm gonna get one of those keyboards that does this effect

I've been doing a lot of research, and my best bet for price and quality is a Corsair RGB Strafe with Cherry MX Red switches. It's going to last me FOREVER.

Wow, it looks so good with the engine in! That open construction will be amazing in-game when you can see all the moving bits and pieces.

Paint UV, overhaul over the last one. I'm reserving a dedicated texture for the mechanical parts. (suspension and engine only)

I was thinking of converting some car Carmageddon Reincarnation for another game, this seems excellent, but I see you have too many pieces.

Thanks for answering.

Sorry for the master-bumping on a very old reply, but I can't help it. My favourite version of the Eagle in a HD model? That looks awesome!!

May I ask: Is it already modded for C:R?

Hello, FatCat. I ported your LoPoly Eagle R to BallicsNG. Can I release it in Steam Workshop? I would give you all credits as maker of model.

And a matching jacket...
