Nice, you must have arrived well early to get that pic. When I arrived the car had a rope barrier around it to stop peds randomly impaling themselves. We all know how peds do that sometimes. Anyway on the plus side my pics have added eye candy with Sim & Tina :) I was gonna post all my pics when I got home but I'm gonna wait now. I had my picture taken with all the Stainless staff present & another just me sandwiched between Sim & Tina* but they were taken by Zoe the Operations Manager so I'm waiting for her to email those pics.

*highlight of the day :p

I'm going to skip the first day "free" download in order to pay the full price. I love this game.

More pics please! :D And I also wanna add, that the wheelspin button will be missed very much! Rather than adding an extra button, it would be cool, if the wheels started to spin, when you just push the gas pedal with your thumb and slide it upwards! That would be awesome! :D

Was great to get to meet the team at the expo yesterday - Nobby, Sim, Shane et al 'in the flesh'. Playable iOS version looked good and played really well. Was really impressed by the enthusiasm of all the Stainless guys I met, and with getting my backers' bumper sticker (how long before you have to start tearing them off the walls?!).

In fact its Carma-overload this week (if that is possible), with the GoG release too - keep up the great work!

Great pic. Having met Sim I can safely say she is a hardcore gamer & very passionate about Carmageddon. She is also my height, friendly & sexy which makes her pretty much my dream woman. Sigh. Probably best not to dwell on that one for too long.

Funnily enough I did ask Nobby if that is the original helmet & sadly it is not. Apparently this one was found in a random charity shop by none other than mad man Tony!

Anyway it's now time for me to reveal my days haul of photos. There were a number of things I forgot to take pics of such as the retro area & the Street Fighter competition which was packed & buzzing but this is the pick of what I did take. If anyone wants a better look at a particular photo saving it & viewing it from your hard drive helps. All the files are named for easy quoting :)

Firstly, this was a touch of genius guys. Placing the car where you did meant SO many gamers were talking about Carmageddon. I was asked 3 times durng the day what is Carmageddon all about :)

This was only 1/2 of the cue! The other 1/2 was the other side of the bulding lol.

I've never seen so many screens, not even in my wildest dreams!

Ok sorry to anyone hoping for decent pics of the game itself. I tried taking a few but this was the best. Fail.

This is 9 out of the 30 stainless staff working on C:R & one extremely happy fan in the middle.

I will treasure this photo. Thanks for being such good sports on the day Sim & Tina x

This is all the free stuff I was given. I shall be adorning my car & posting pics in the relevant topic.

Is it safe to say that, with Eurogamer out of the way, that the release date is getting a bit closer?

Possible, although it would have to be heavily modified to avoid any lawsuits over copyrights/design rights. Also, I'd like to see some design tweaks anyway. The RL one looks great, but you can tell it was just a quick knock-up for the expo, and I'd hope that if it did make it into the game that it looked more terrifying.

the design changes need to be minimal, just look at the range rovers in gta4 and bf3, just minor light changes

Yeah, minor body changes to skirt lawsuits are all that's needed, but I meant that I'd like to see a considerable change to the 'Carmageddon-ized' aspects of the car.

It is a nice idea. It would mean a lot to fans like myself who saw the car at the expo. If Stainless like the idea & do put it in then it should be unlockable by completing 1 player except for kickstarters who get it straight away :)

I've uploaded what should be the last of the photos (there may be a few more kicking around that have not been sent to me yet!).

Please help spread the word of Carmageddon's return on Facebook and Twitter (just make sure people don't think it's the 405 all over again!)

Nah most of the spikes were attached with plastic cable ties. It was just added for wow factor & boy did it work. Amusingly they had to put the rope barrier around it to stop peds injuring themselves. I love it.

Yep, just after setting it up on Wednesday I almost fell flat on my face after walking into one of the wheel spikes!

Yeah its surprising & a shame but hardly anyone from this community was able to make it. I honestly expected to find Sim & Nobby getting buried alive by fans but instead I was given VIP treatment getting escorted by Die Anna & VAL Hella to the Carmageddon booth & then having as long as I wanted to chat to all 9 of the team. Awesome :)

On the plus side the booth was very busy the whole day & presumably for the whole event. Therefore there must be a shit load of people who are about to discover Carmageddon for the first time. I expect a lot of newcomers to this forum in the coming months.

Something that irritates me lately is the amount of people saying that Carmageddon on iOS looks "Dated". The game wasn't fully overhauled into HD, the car models were given tweaks and the lighting on them is better, but the rest of the game stayed more or less the same. It's made to run on portable devices that, although potent, are not high spec desktops, and it can only look so good. I think that it looks fantastic, much less pixelated and smoother than the original release, and it's made to be fun, not to push technological boundries.
