Ramraider + Big Dump
Ramraider 2013! Finally done with this!
A superb model by FatCat who made it with C2 in mind as the body breaks into a lot of pieces ala Eagle 3. Polycount is much lower than his other models also: 10k tris.
It really is fully featured and I took advantage of Harm's CarmaTools' way of handling groups to generate dummies and apply transformations onto them directly. This allowed me for example to easily set the rear bumper up so that it reacts to a 'shear' groove but along the Z axis and opposite to its groovyfunkref suspension movement!
This way I also don't have to rely on that static-n-flash-dummy-groove to freeze an actor to a certain angle to make its child move along a slanted axis (like the steering wheel). In this case, the front wheels have an angle as well (5°).
Ahh... I spent so much time on this lately, yet I don't think I have anything else to say!
I really like this addon!
It's at the usual place!

'nuff said!

Re: Ramraider
I cannot try this out yet as I am not near my computer for a few weeks, But it sure looks yummy
Re: Ramraider
It's nice to see this model in a game, thanks for the effort Tosh. The way the rear bumper reacts to just driving along is great
Does it have menu images btw? They don't show up for me if it does.

Ah! Forgot to create a 'CarImage' folder! You should find a 'ramraiderCI' folder in your C2/INTRFACE. Just move it to your 'CarImage'. I've updated the archive, thanks for the feedback

Re: Ramraider
Quick (but quite complete) port of the dump truck prop from ReinCARnation to C1 as a replacement for the Big Dump.
6000 triangles, a handful of detachables, a bit of shading on those materials.
I noticed you can name the simple_model file whatever you want. Named it dumptruck.1.dat in this case. I wonder whether we could merge the SHELL and simple_model directly within the complex model dat file.
It was extracted from C:R thanks to Errol and his Flummery.
Download at RR, refresh the page if it doesn't show up?!

Just tested the ramraider and it looks so good! I love the hand painted textures, the driver model and the front wheel setup. Real cool guys!

Really? Cool! So you have it figured out! I seem to remember you having some problems with the bicyclist anim?

Re: Ramraider + Big Dump
This Cucco is actually from 2009! I already had figured it all back then!
Have posted about it there: https://www.cwaboard.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=90733#p90733
and here: https://www.cwaboard.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8333
The problem with the bicyclist is the amount of bones needed, I'll get back to it when I reach it in the todo list. Just have to simplify the skeleton
