Some cars we need

Post by autopilot »

I Realize they won't be done on anyones life, but I feel passive enough to post this anyway.

Image

1. Chrysler Fifth Avenue - Sexiest Luxo car ever!

2. Saab 96 - Swedish Atrocity? I call it as good as it gets.

3. Dodge A100 Pickup - Just look at it, no comment needed.

4. Volvo 142 - Nothing beats a swedish automobile.

5. Cadillac Fleetwood - Actually any 90ish big caddy will work, once these babies start swerving its all over.

6. Lincoln MarkV - The ultimate getaway car.

The saab and dodge look awesome, so they would get my first choice if I were to make one (Sha!... right).

Not sure what's goin' on with the Lincoln... it has a weird back. (Cool lookin', none-the-less)

I wanted to try out Rally trophy before, as the damage didnt look that lame, but you need a fairly new directx to run it, and that makes my c2 sound crackle for some reason.

Insane on the other hand is boring.

They'd only be enjoyable in this game anyways (c2.. or tdr mebbe)

It is impossible to convert that 1nsane volvo to C2 anyways...isnt the name of the guy in the txt file? maybe it is, then it could be done, a C2 conversion..

I gotta plugin for 3dsmax for RT, and i see some mods of cars too, so i think those can be opened...ready to be converted

Heh, was gonna ask for some screen shots of em, but going through some vice city photos I saw the lincoln.. looks pretty crappy! Then again most car models that come with games do, specially if they don't have license.

Actually, I lost the model when my old harddrive crashed. This is just a pic I sent to a friend, right before the crash.

But, I found an old version of this model on a backup CD. I think of update, and maybe let one of all you C2 dudes work on.

Give me a shout if anyone's intrested in finish it for C2. Because I don't have knowledge enough to make it for that game.

ok, yes it is possible to convert cars from insane to carma2. i know this because i am currently convertin 2 now. just lemme know what you wanna see from insane converted into C2, and ill try to get permission to.

and autopilot, insane isn't boring. its just the crash graphics that are. but some addon cars have awsome crash graphichs. and with alla the addon stuff for it, you will almost never get tired, almost....

Well, about that Fifth Avenue, can't you just modify (Econobrick's?) 82 Dodge Diplomat with a new front and back end? They're the same cars except the Chrysler has luxury stuff on it.

I'd like to see an LFS too. Its time Carma 2 needs a low-floor bus to smash.

Just ouf of curiousity, is this game and community still as big as it was, because if it is. I can bring you alot of cars(when i say alot i'm talking about 200 cars) i've got access to alot of australian content and this would help bring alot of aussie fans here as well that wouldn't normally come here.

just interested in doing something useful

We're still pretty big i guess.. I mean a lot of people still visit the CWA right?. Maybe we're not as big, as our games "dated", and people have grown up and moved on with "more important things" in "life", but for the ones whom remain, we mostly just lollygag and do nothing all the time. Ive only been around almost 2 years and have made heaps of cars in the past year, but now Its starting to be difficult to get the energy/enthusiasm to do anything.

Thats cool then, maybe with some one else getting involved things might pick up some. I mean my work won't be the standard of ADR(there is no one that i know who is as good as him lol). i can remember commenting a little while ago " i'm only here to support ADR and his cars" or something to that effect but i've been looking at it and there is a real need for some aussiemuscle...

I do have a Couple of ?'s though

How does one get normals and Smoothing groups right for these cars.

How would you all feel about some v8supercars for Carmageddon.....i've got literally tons of cars i can convert...Sorry about the OT

Why don't you show some photos of em or something?

I don't really care for nice fancy smancy powerful cars though, I probably wouldnt like them all that much anyways, Australian junk cars on the other hand... I hear australia has a lotta old junky datsuns and other such gems driving around.

Ausmade's Garage

this is just a few that i've done for another game. unfortunately it doesn't have the interest it once had so i've decided to move to carma2.

Imagine running some one down in a v8supercar lol

It's not as big as it used to be, although there seems to have been a /little/ increase in numbers recently.
