Anyone up for multiplayer, Steam-based or otherwise?

Hello, Maxaxle.

Sadly, multiplayer C1 is difficult to achieve over Internet. LAN however works very well.

We'll have to wait for Reincarnation to start the online mayhem :)

Nonsense! If RR2000 doesn't have a fix for it, I can just use Hamachi or Tuungle.

Don't you think we already tried? No matter what we did, the netgames go out of sync quite quickly.

But yes, go ahead and try it through Hamachi with a friend and post how many rounds you were able to play before the host stops updating the other player's position. The host should be the one with the fastest connection btw.

That's beyond strange.

I'd rather say that the C2 netcode is beyond strange: the network synchronisation code is disgustingly complicated, and makes use of the Action Replay system to reposition everything when the host machine issues its view of the world. :B
