Go to www.carpocalypse.com and start digging around the file directories. You should be able to find a directory for mac carpocalypse; that's where I downloaded the editing files after I reinstalled C2 and forgot to save the original zip.

Just type LAPMYLOVEPUMP to enter cheat mode. shift-2 gives you a time bonus. Type at a "pecking" pace or else C2 won't recognize the keystrokes.

I haven't heard of using ResEdit to cheat, how does that work? Do you have the de-twted DATA.TWT files?
