iMON Ultra Bay LCD Hack

As a side project to Carmageddon 2 Online, i am also working on a Hack/Modification to the iMON Ultra Bay. For those who are not familiar, this is a double 5.25 inch computer bay insert which has a VFD LCD screen and various media buttons. It also has a remote control. Unlike other standard LCD's (l...

Re: INSTALLATION NOTES

There isn't a server at 192.168.0.2, therefore it won't connect to it. 192.168.0.2 is a parameter in the client shortcut. You can change the parameter to an address of your choice so that when you launch the client, it connects there, always. As i said, useful for LANS's or regular servers. In all o...

Re: INSTALLATION NOTES

Welcome Astrosapien, I'm almost certain that your problem has occured because another program on your computer is using port 1084. Some programs randomize their ports and if you're unlucky, one of them decides to steel C2O's! You may find a simple reboot does the trick, but if not, try this: Click S...

Re: INSTALLATION NOTES

This is probably again down to modifications. Have you have attempted to change controls perhaps? If not, see if the Keymap_0.TXT is in your C2 DATA folder (I don't mean C2O_DATA) along with various other KeyMap files. If it is not, copy the backup which should be in the C2O_DATA folder into your C2...

Re: INSTALLATION NOTES

You shouldn't have used the XP Fix2. C2O provides the Carma2_HW.exe itself and it is modified especially for use with C2O. Using another .exe will cause trouble. Also, because using another .exe is classed as a mod, C2O will detect this and it will fail the anti-cheat validation. Please simply follo...

Re: INSTALLATION NOTES

Hi there,

A little too eager to play without waiting for information, like others i think smile The basic install notes are up here now so i'd suggest reading them first. I'd only start repeating myself otherwise. Your problem will certainly be gone if you follow and understand the notes.

Ok have tested on 3 different machines now including XP, 2000 and Vista 32 and 64 Bit editions. Even resorted to downloading the Re-Pack from the server itself. All of the machines locate the registry keys fine and the setup completes successfully. Unless the path and key is not present on your mach...

Re: Confirmed C2 Online Release Date

It is possible that the problem is down to registry permissions. If a repack is required for this i'll make sure everyone is informed tomorrow.

It's advisable to wait until usage information has been posted...

<t>Good idea. I've put some links in my sig. now!<br/> <br/> Cars don't split in C2O because if you add/download a new car which it has not seen before, it removes the splitting/deteching parameters etc. from the cars WAM file(s). Re: Rumours of an online patch???

I'm pleased to say i found where C2 turns of the granite skin which is great. So its full steam ahead as usual. I also found a routine that makes your car skin "brighter"... weird! Might come in handy to make an opponent car flash to indicate ACME. You can find the forum at the site below:...
