What if some angry peds run after your car and hop onto the bonnet (hood) or the roof, and when you hit the brakes, they go flying off. That would be good.

1990 Nissan Micra K10 L (my first car, currently in long term storage)
1995 Ford Escort Mk6 1.3 CL (current everyday car)

C2 Scientist, I was always thinking about the time, when a damn company thinks up a steering wheel with three pedals. And I have seen one game in my life, that has a fully operable clutch...thats a really old game, that I play quite often, just because it has a manual clutch. I even changed the brake with the clutch to make it more realistic  That game is Viper Racing...a game with the most realistic handling of a Viper...and McLaren F1  And its got quite good damage, for a game of that age...ok ill shut up now.

I had the game once... wasn't it released when NFS 4 was, or a bit after NFS? I never checked out the controller menus for such option, but the game supported it? It's a start... but the controller with the pedals and gearbox is still needed! It's a vicious circle... no controllers are made because there are no games supporting them, and vice versa, I guess...

Probably the company -making the first popular controller- would be European, since people in USA seem to drive more with automatic transmission, right? (a controller with automatic gearbox would be kind of pointless!)

the game developers prolly dont wanna put a fully operational clutch into games cuz some peps tend to complain about sutch... "its to difficoult" they say... jiss... its not easy to drive a car in real life in the beggining either... it takes some training before you realy nicly can handle a manual gearbox and at the same time drive the car on a trafficed road... its all about training (should be the same whit computergames... at lest at the harder difficoulties)

Bah if ye can't drive a car in real-life ye shouldent be playing

Well... perhaps not, but in anycase, they could still support it easily enough, I mean you select automatic and you dont need the clutch, select manual and its engaged...

Burnouts are muchos better with ze manual, hubba hubba.

The options-menu are for such gamers: they can switch it off, while we *professional drivers* (Hehe!) switch it on and have more challenging drive! Seriously, I think I'd use both every now and then... after all, "variety is the spice of life", as the saying goes.

Reports from the UK suggest that a new Carmageddon game is in development and scheduled for release in 2005.

According to a recent report in the UK-based weekly trade publication MCV, publisher SCi is already making plans for the 2005 financial year that include the release of a new Carmageddon game. No specific gameplay or platform details have been released at present, but we'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.

Yeah getting outta yer car would be a cool idea. As long as it isn't overboard & you run around with UZI's etc. that just isn't carmageddon. Best part would be being able to be [font color="red"> wasted </font color> by getting run over by the other apponents!

I'd like to see lots of car damage, explosions and interactive levels.

Some new fun powerups would be cool to see, like "opponent shrinker", "wild cows", "ped stampede" Really looking forward for the last one, as its my own conception  A fun powerup would be "Random Monkey" where a random monkey appears, and causes havoc

Nothing, I just thought about a fun powerup, and POP

Actually, there should be powerups just like the peeps at the CWA  I mean, "Civic power", a tribute to Rave, where multiple riced Civics cause total disaster or maybe "The End"- very rare powerup, a giant nuke is launched at the map and everything is flying all over the place, a tribute to "The Bollocks" it would be very fun

It would be cool if the on-car weapons (spikes, saws etc.) really did their job, not just for appearence. Like, when you hit a ped with a spike on your car, that ped should be stuck on that spike, moaning and bleeding like stupid. Saws could really cut the armor of smaller vehicles. And another thing- working truck trailers (with their own sophisticated physics), like the one in the intro of C2. That would be sweet.

Well, actually... theorically it is possible to create spikes where a ped would stay stuck in... you would have to work a lot with the bounding boxes of C2 to make the spikes not a part of the car (so peds could go through 'em) but at the same time, create an invisible hitting area with the same lenght of the spikes (so you could still hit the cars and make things look real)... so it could be done, but I'm too lazy to try... maybe someday I'll do it...

Y'know what would be fun? When in cockpit view, you could see the drivers hands (animated, as in TDR) and they would be "interactive". Like when you would press, say "F", one hand would go up, and the middle finger would show its glory  Or, when you would get hit real hard by a opponent it would go on automatically (like in TOCA, the driver bashed the steering wheel after a crash).
