Thanks :D Glad you like the abandoned stuff people. But I made something new at last.

Toys! I had this weird thing where I wanted to drive a Hotwheels car in Carma. so Here is Hotwheels and Matchbox.

Hotwheels GMC Motorhome and the Matchbox Ford Camper.
Image

First GMC Motorhome. A little bit more cartoony than a realistic build this toy in scale has a large section shortened in the middle.
This is a casting I really like I still have not managed to get one but I wanted it in Carma so here it is.. The ford I just kinda threw in after for the fun of it. Camp theme day. honestly I think the interior views take as long to make as the entire model.. simple models are fun tho.

Comes with the original 1977 Palm Beach orange skin, alternate 1980 green palm Beach skin. And one I made up a more realistic beige with stripes. Note: The redline style wheels have been changed to the correct ones on the green version.
Image

Matchbox Ford Camper released in 1981 as far as I can find it only ever came in this red. sometimes looks more red or more orange.
Again wheels changed for correct variants I mistakenly used the wrong ones Not that most people would notice :P
Image

If you don't like the toy look of it that much with the hollow rear and no windows there is a solid window version just an alternate texture in the zip.
Image

Both cars come with all the expected features.
Interior image, damage icon, race icon, menu images. Sadly no mugshots (sorry they are a pain to do and I don't imagine they are used much :P)
Image

Download links.

GMC: https://maxine.cwaboard.co.uk/c1_Cars/HWGMCMotorhome.zip

Ford: https://maxine.cwaboard.co.uk/c1_Cars/MBFordCamper.zip

Planning to do more toys, with many skins (ones I can find good images of at least)
Any problems report and I will get back to it as soon as possible.

Love it! The classic redline wheel is a texture I will be using a lot. If you ask me, the Charger is almost a dead ringer for the original '68 Camaro casting HW put out, so I experimented a bit.

I'm hoping that's common in this community, or we're both weird.

Ok so.. here is something. I got really carried away because I found a whole bunch of refs and stuff.. But hey If nothing else a good source of wheels for me, and others.

In order of year. Got the two original skins in the first release. and in this one we got.

1979 Captain America - An original scene machine.
Image

1998 Hotwheels Race Team - I do love this kind of skin the metallic blue is nostalgic of those late 90s toys.
Image

2003 Jones Soda - Promotional item with real riders.
Image

2006 Flying Customs - I forgot what this was? not really a fan of the design but added it anyway.
Image

2006 Mainline - Just a regular mainline. I think the wheels look a little odd with this one. I would have used a simple 5SP or something.
Image

2008 Holiday Rod - Merry Christmas? Target variant, there was a green one but I did not bother doing that one because it is exactly the same just with green paint.
Image

2008 Palm Beach, Same decals as the original but with silver paint. Only available in 40 years anniversary 40 car pack
Image

2009 Treasure Hunt - Treasure hunt variant. Much more subtle for those who don't like over the top designs.
Image

2010 City Shuttle - So for some reason this was used as a shuttle bus in some things despite being an RV. Also an airport bus but I can't find many good images of that.
Image

2012 Atari - More real riders. I do think the wood panel design suits this. Nice.
Image

2012 Heat Fleet - This was meant to be purple but Carma don't like that. Very toy like but I somehow like it. Maybe it would look better without the plastic orange base.
Image

2014 Stripes - From the movie stripes. Good for people who want a realistic RV skin.
Image

2016 DrStrange - Dr Strange I guess? This changed to C1 pallet pretty well I was surprised.
Image

Next another toy but it will be a little more Carma fitting.. Even tho its a little.. New compared to my usual stuff

These are all awesome! I'm digging the HW Race Team skin the most. The details in the motorhome cockpit are great. Issue: As far as I can tell there is no grid image for 64x64 mode. I ended up just using another vehicle grid image and everything worked fine, but I really couldn't locate the PIX file.

ah really? hm. meld pack must use that then.. But as far as I can tell the race icon thingy is exactly the same so I will just start pasting it into 64 too. my game for some reason has No car icons in 64m all are in 32, I just use 64 for interior, damage, and stuff.

Will reupload this I guess with fixes but I'm not retro adding it too the old stuff.

Anybody have any toy cars you would like to drive on Carma suggest them? (No promises as sometimes it would be hard to find references)

Edit: zip files updated.

I've been using the latest version of Carma Special Edition, if that helps. It wouldn't surprise me if I just somehow messed up the install, as your ports are always of superb quality. :ssurpr:

As for HW and Matchbox castings for Carma, I could go for hours. Some picks would be Purple Passion, Roger Dodger, Evil Twin, and the custom '59 Cadillac. So many great Matchbox cars are of real vehicles that I don't know what/how to pick. Definitely the recent '75 Caprice either way, the Checker Marathon, the 80's Crown Victoria that was reused for taxis and cop cars oh so many times, and OH MY GOD the Hudson Hornet cop car.

So I found this on my pc. I thought it was lost.
Image

Remember when I said I was going to do toy cars?... yah. this has been on my pc for a while and never finished. I have no idea what other issues it might have but the model is not great, not fully happy with it, and it was being a pain the entire way with errors and problems. probly why I stopped working on it a year ago.
But here it is anyway, the remains if anybody wants to use it or anything, not really set up but works in C1. no menu images and all that, uses the Stella file as a base. figure I would upload it rather than have it sit doing nothing for years. do with it whatever you want.

Well i love hot wheels and i wanted to try the last one, after change somethings i did put him in the game with Stella's opponent data
The only issue for now is that the car starts and go inside the ground.
That could be fixed chaging the CENTER OF MASS or the angular momentum?

ah, people do look >.> sometimes I do put something odd to the right because. I guess I figure (wrongly :P) that nobody looks there. I dunno how many even use interior view.

Here is a Lincoln. this is just a car I wanted to put in carma, because I like it.
Image

https://maxine.cwaboard.co.uk/c1_Cars/ContinentalVC1.zip

I remembered to do the fire points this time. o.o
Also the Otis text I based it on had no engine damage from the front, was this a bug?

Nice work!

BTW Installthing.txt features 2x these lines:

Code: Select all

2 // Number of text chunks
5,3 // x,y offset of first line
41,85 // Frame start (incl), end (excl)
And that makes Carma95 crash (it didn't on your end?)

And yeah I see engine damage on the rear for the caddyfatcat, probably a bug, and probably why the car felt a bit OP back then

Its a Ford Vs Chevy type day.

I went looking up hotrods and found two of the same year. so here is a 1931 Chevrolet coupe, and a 1931 Ford coupe, both turned into hotrods.

As I have promised, I fixed the right side of Screwie's car (don't know how to add pix files)
fixed Screwie.png
fixed Screwie.png (184.29 KiB) Viewed 7232 times
and found out why I had black spots on Eagle's and Hawk rear bumpers (win 95 software).
That is because of incorrect texture mapping.
Rear bumper glitch.png
Rear bumper glitch.png (303.12 KiB) Viewed 7232 times
Also I edited Hawk ll interior (removed black dot and filled area near the damage sign.
Improved Hawk ll interior.png
Improved Hawk ll interior.png (60.85 KiB) Viewed 7232 times
. Are there any other tips? For example How to copy one part of a texture and paste it to another
How to enlarge textures.
Some interiors are only repainted. How can I do it myself?
How to find textures for grid position and textures for checkpoints.
How to add Pix files to this site.
What other programs work on win 10 besides Trixx and Carmagedit
Can this game use a modern videodriver?
I also noticed that Hawk ll has wheels with wrong side in vanilla SP. Was fixed in SE.
Still there is a lack of increased peds and things draw distance especially on the race where the mine field is.
In my opinion, Splat Pack is boring but I shall try to edit other textures (eagle2 is first) add the hood for Hawk ll and correct blades so they shall not be seen in the mirror.

^ Seem to have missed the post above me and it's been a year so ah...
Grid images - 32X20X8
recoloring interiors just takes practicing in image editing. kinda complicated to go into without a full tutorial I probly do it wrong anyways.

So I made a thing and forgot it, then found it again.

Why does it have such a stupid name? I have no idea, the whole thing is kind of a gag car tho.

Buttman Bull.

Image

Stubby, Comes with the usual stuff, interior view, with hood model, menu image, and race icon, It does not however have a damage icon or opponent fli thing for viewing opponents.

DOWNLOAD LINK

Will try dig out more models and make them work I think I still got some left.
