Re: J Coffeycup
Indeed, he was one of the olde tyme peoples who was around at the very beginning! It's been about 4 years since he last did something. I wish could be more helpful, I was around when he was still here, but I never actually talked to the guy. Guess he just moved on...
Re: J Coffeycup
I was here in the beginning as well. Although I now call myself "Kimble" or "Dr.Kimble", back then I was known as "Jake" and had cars for C1 that were posted on his site and others (if u remember).
He had a nice site and he was a nice guy. Too bad we lost him... You remmber "Crash 'n Burn"? GREAT site! Who ran that and where is that dude (I don't remember the admin.'s name).
I can't believe Errol is still around...there were a few yrs. where I saw nothing from him...hope he can pull TDR2004 off...

Re: J Coffeycup
yeah I remember crash n' burn...I believe Crimson ran that place? or at least updated it? Then it was handed over to a team of "n00bs" after the original guys couldn't find the time to maintain it. and the new management pretty much ran it into the ground!
Such is life....or something?!

Re: J Coffeycup
Yeah, Coffeycup was the main person behind MacCarpocalypse, Indeed, I believe it was him (mebbe it was some modeller that also took part on that page, like chevelle) who made some of the coolest C2 addons ever (Red Baron, Digga, Halftrak and many others). This dude dissapeared when four years ago MacCarpo ceased to be updated all of a sudden
And hell yeah, I remember Crash N' Burn, it is one of the sites I miss the most...Crimson was the last person that ran the site properly. I remember it was there where I first saw scarehead's skins for C2, and its impressive work compelled me to make my own...
But you are leaving lotsa sites behind... Pedestrian Pizza Palace (Ran by a cool guy that at the time went by Mansn, I think), Carma Garage (The first Carma page I belonged to, where are you, viper?), and its sucessor, Gaming City, BGC Motors, Carmageddon Custom Corner, the CFC (the guy that ran this site was no cool at all)...
At least we still have DTD , a new wasted in process, the alive-but-comatose Crashocalypse, Econo's page, and most recently, a welsh freak decided to put back online this little place we all have known and loved, toxic ragers.
I only wish that SCI made some sort of announcement regarding the coming back (or not) of the series.. I just would love to see a new generation of carma sites... and even the returning of some of the dead ones (hey, you never can tell...)

Re: J Coffeycup
Oh yeah, TSS IS there too
Forgot as well to mention TNT motors (where did ravage go???), whiplash's site (dunno remember its name) and so many others... my poor braincells weren't capable of retaining its name...

That link galore was @ CFC (Carmageddon Fan Club), I saw it as well - needless to say, nearly all of them were unfunctional at the time I happened find it.
I think that even that place doesn't exist anymore...

Re: J Coffeycup
I'm pretty sure the one I saw was a bit longer than that one...
Re: J Coffeycup
I reckon we should get a list together of all the carma sites that are still getting updated, and all the ones 'gone but not forgotten' and get DB or Beast to Pin it for n00bs, or other peeps that arent aware of them, similar to that list up there but obivously updated

Re: J Coffeycup
Hey, Jake what's up? -- I'm still alive and kickin'. Family and a 9 to 5 job kinda stole all my editing time away. Switched from Mac to PC a few years back and only recently picked up a copy of C2 (for 5 bucks) for PC. Missed all the mayhem. I was Googling myself trying to find some of my old cars 'cause my original files are on Mac formatted disks that I can no longer open, and came across this thread -- I was surprised to find so many C2 cars and a thriving community still out there. Cool!

Re: J Coffeycup
It's that guy! Up till recently I had nearly all of your cars, then my computer got fried... I was a regular visitor to Mac Carpocalypse..
Re: J Coffeycup
Even I had all of them, and also was a regular at Mac Carpocalypse! Though when it was time to bring back the Powerbook to the school, The Mac era for me ended. I want that Powerbook back.. The Gridz!

OMFG look what we have here!!! Long time no see man, glad you found your way here!!!!
Oh and btw get those disks converted to PC format, you wouldn't believe how many of us miss the good ol' MacCarpo.
(Hope this starts a trend in which folks of the past start showing up again...)

Re: J Coffeycup
Heh heh thanks, I'll see what I can do. I doubt I'd resurrect Mac Carpocalypse in it’s entirety but I’m hoping I can dig up the cars I don’t see on DTD or Crashcopalypse or TSS, like Chevelle’s great Death Race 2000 car series (has anyone heard from him? He used to crank out some dang cool cars) and whatever I can find of my attempts at car making – remember, this was back when polygon count mattered.
