Re: Installing C1/2 on a mac

Thanks Soup, I used to run bootcamp but when I got parallels I just migrated to that, and to be honest I dont use windows for anything anymore. I'd rather not bootcamp if I can help it. I bought parallels for a reason. I'm still thinking 95/98 is the way to go, as I want to run C1 as well. Does C1 r...

Heh, mine's a Mac Pro.

2 x dual-core 2.66GHz,

5gb RAM,

4 HDs (I went a bit over the top but the fourth one 1.5tb is for Time Machine backups and replaced the third now empty one),

I think that the asc files that we can use are a different structure to 'modern' asc files. Actually I seem to remember that was the case at the time as well? Something like that anyway.

you can't do a linked trailer Yes that's right, despite all our best efforts we can't make a simple free pivot point, how annoying. The closest was a car plus caravan, possibly done by yourself? Re: It's a PT2 thing

<t>As far as PT2 is concerned, CarEd generates the wheel setup in a very strange way. Some C2 models (I believe) still have the old C1-style centralised wheel thing and the txt file sets it all up properly in game. When you see the model you'll be scratching your head initially! So anyway the point ...

Re: Grunge Buster - Mech Maniac returns

Pivot point is in the grooves for the wheels, I believe. I had quite a few problems with that for the interceptor because of my non-standard wheel type. CarEd sets the pivot point to be the outermost point of the wheel, as I remember. I used CarEd's coords display to measure how much I wanted to cha...

You might like to take a look at this tutorial for some ideas, and also the other tutorials here at TSS, The best thing to try to accomplish a feature already seen in game is to copy the relevant setup sections from that car's files. The shear groove should be able to be worked out from that. I thin...
