Re: New Map In Progress?!

What looks worst is that the box wich contains the lights are as big as the pole itself.

I also noticed the traffic lights are on the other side of the intersection, but that's a common practice in some areas.

Re: New Map In Progress?!

Those traffic light don't make it look better, IMHO. Why not make them a bit more high poly?

(You don't have to import them all again if you want to change it, btw)

Re: New Map In Progress?!

You can also do like i did with Schwarzwald. Make a small map, complete it, and if you like to make another map later, just make an extension for the map.

Re: New Map In Progress?!

CESM has just released his new PT2 mod. Now that you start with the non-cars you might try the macro's. I know how annoying it is adding these non-cars. On Schwarzwald it took almost as much time as building the entire level.

That's probably the best map i've ever seen. Great atmosphere. The buildings actually look like buildings, in contrary to the unrealistic blocks of the default city level.

I used a scale of 1:5 (1 pt2 unit:metre) for the peds. It seems to be a usable standard.

Guess you have to change the number of laps for the particular race in races.txt from -3 to 3 or whatever you want.

Mapstockalypse is not working because there's no .c2t file, or not a valid one, i guess

Looks much better than the first pics I saw of it dude, it looks well funky now That's odd, since i haven't changed anything  However this is taken from a long distance, so maybe playing with the scaling factor makes it nicer. I once saw a motorbike wich didn't have an axle or whatever. It had it's bearings on a open ring wich was actually the rim.

But i have to agree with D_B, somethings missing.

However, the more I'm looking at it, the greater it looks.

Some new stuff

First there's the GTA import tutorial. It also describes how to set up C2 peds.

It's in a .CHM file, if you want you can get it in HTML as well. Just give me a PM.

Get it here .

And the patch to make nice nuclear explosions:

Get it here.
